WHAT DISASTERS DO EARTHQUAKES LEAVE

October 18th 1989 San Francisco, CA. Sirens sound, roads crack, people running, buildings collapsing. One of the worlds worse disasters is taking place an earthquake. Thousands are injured many homes are destroyed and there’s no way out.
Roads were ruined
“The freeway buckled, support columns failed”. Many of the travel routes were destroyed so the people couldn't get away. Instead they were roaming the streets looking for somewhere safe to hide from the terrible earthquake taking place.”Much of the destruction centered the region's roadways.”
Thousands Were Killed+ Injured
“...The upper deck crashed onto the first deck, killing 41 people in their cars.” Since many roads were ruined by the earthquake it lead to many severe injuries. Many people died in this severe earthquake,many parents couldn’t find their children and children couldn’t find parents which led to crying and worrying.“The earthquake killed more than 60 people, injured 4,000.”
Buildings Were Damaged
‘’... Tens of thousands of buildings were damaged or destroyed.” Many buildings were destroyed leaving many people homeless. They had nowhere to go Thats also a reason that so many people were injured because they had no where to hide from all the chaos going on.The total repair on the city was 6 billion dollars.” Several thousand californians were homeless.”
